Hugs are a powerful way to let babies and children know they are safe and protected, so our Huggies brand team in New Zealand partnered with Plunket to send a simple yet important message to New Zealanders: Make Time for Hugs.
We believe hugs are central to our brand, but more importantly they are central to the healthy physical, emotional, behavioral and social development of children. So when we put this public service campaign together, it was very moving to hear Plunket nurses like Katrina Coleman explain how they feel hugs and loving touch are a vital support for babies’ healthy brain development.
Plunket is the largest provider of free support services for the development, health and wellbeing of children under five in New Zealand, and we have been partners with them for 25 years. We’re especially proud that Huggies products are the only brand to receive Plunket’s endorsement.
